The PWA Settings option is missing from Site Settings after migration in Project Server

In Project Server 2013, I tried to mount a PWA instance with a database that was taken from another farm using “Mount-SPProjectWebInstance” cmdlet that has been mounted successfully.

But unfortunately, when I tried to open the PWA Settings from Site Settings menu. I couldn’t find the PWA Settings option as shown below:

PWA Settings missing

Cause :

This problem might occur because the “pwasite” feature was disabled during using the DB attach method to migrate a PWA Instance database then using “Mount-SPProjectWebInstance” cmdlet to mount the attached database to PWA Instance.

Solution :

  • Open SharePoint Management Shell as Administrator.

Run SharePoint Management Shell as Administrator

  • Run the following command to enable “pwasite” feature.

Enable-SPFeature –Identity pwasite –Url <URL of PWA site>

enable PWASITE featuers command

  • Try to open PWA site again, the PWA Settings option should be now available.

enable PWASITE featuers

Enjoy 🙂
