Project Site is not created automatically during createing a new project in Project Server

When I tried to create a new project inside Project Center in Project Server 2013

Create New Project

The Project was created successfully, but when I tried to open it’s connected Project Site.

Open Project Site

I got “There is no site configured for this project” as shown below.

There is no site configured for this project

Cause:

This problem usually occurs because of  Site Creation Settings is set to don not create a site when a project is published within Project Site Provisioning Settings in PWA Settings.

Project Site Provisioning Settings 1

Solution:

  • Open Central Administration > General Settings > Manage PWA.

Manage PWA Settings

  • Below Operational Policies > click on Project Site Provisioning Settings.

Project Site Provisioning Settings

  • Beside Site Creation Settings > Ensure that “Automatically create a site on first publish” has been checked.

Project Site Provisioning Settings 1

  • Go back to create a new project where the project site should be now created automatically during project publish.

Enjoy 🙂

  1. I can’t find the “Site Creation Settings” section under “Project Site Provisioning Settings”! I am using project server 2016. Does anyone have this issue?
